I remember as a very young thing, you had to load up your feed and haul it to the B&B. They had a big mill in an old building across the street from the store. If you left your truck, they would reload it as it came down from the mill.
 
I remember there was a custom grinder with a truck mounted grinder around here as late as the mid 70s when I was hauling milk.

Really intersting. Never seen it bagged like that, dad always filled a bin in the grainery with his ground feed.
 
My uncle used to get his dairy feed ground by a local guy with a portable unit. loaded into a feed bin in hay mowe that had a chute he would fill the grain cart with after he passed out the silage. That was in the mid/late 80's.

That detroit sure would scream.
