Times are not tough for everybody,just go to a popular restaurant and see the line waiting to get in.also people buy things that make them feel good and ignore the necessitys!
 
That is a very nice original. Originals can be worth much more that restored or reproduction items, both scale models and the real thing. I'm happy the market is starting to reflect that.
 
It would be more interesting to see the lines going out. You would be surprised I think to see what they pay with. A majority will be plastic. Eat today and pay and pay and pay. Just watch the fast food places and convenience stores. A large # use credit cards.

Though I could envision it looking nice on a shelf or in a bookcase if it cost maybe $50 instead of hundreds.

I thought it was really nice too.

Recently saw another sell for over $500 (I think). So now I am just watching for them for fun.

And yes, good that people have that kind of money to spend on a toy if they wish. If they did not, we would all be worse-off.

We can't afford another real McCoy... will have way too many dollars wrapped up in our old Regular before all is said and done. But it will be worth it to us.
