Found this one on CL, and got it and the trailer for $6,500. Its a 90 Kenworth T600, twin screw, air ride, 3176 CAT with a jake, and a 9 speed. The trailer is a 32ft, 35 ton hyster I think its a 80 model. The trailer needs a tire, and the truck needs a few odd and ends but I don't think Im hurt to bad. Dad got the 7000 Allis Sat at a auction for $6,700. It's clean one owner, two remotes, decent tires, 4700hrs, and the air works. Id say in your guy's neck of the woods that was a little high, but Im shocked he got it for that in this area. Right now our only tractor is my Kubota 7040, Im hoping the 7000 will make me feel like the king of the world. Any way thought I would show you what I ended up with.

I think you did good. That truck around here will bring 8 to 12 all day long.

For that price you can't go wrong. Kenworth is about the best so at least if something does go wrong you can justify repairs. Tractor looks good to, and everything is going up so much that I don't think that's a bad price.

There was one Cat engine (could have been a 3176, not sure) that had a weak camshaft that Cat ( to my knowledge) would not admit that it had a problem and therefore would not/did not improve the camshaft. I had on in a '95 Volvo/White and #3 injector lobe wore out and a new camshaft would still have the same problem. Better look into this pontential problem. I hope you do not have this engine. By the way I replaced that truck with a '91 Peterbilt with a 3406 Cat. Armand

You did not get hurt on the truck and trailer. You should get along fine with them.

The AC 7000 did go cheap. I hope there is nothing wrong with it. They are not a cheap tractor to work on. The gear shifter is a very poor design that makes it a real toe catcher getting in and out. The Cab doors on these where a PIA too if you have any size to you. They did not open quite far enough for easy travel. For $6700 you should be fine as long as it is all OK.
