farmall 230

I have found an original 230 that is pretty straight, good tires, 6 volt, and doesn't smoke with a fasthitch disk, disk plow and drawbar for $1600. Is this a good buy? i do not know much about farmall but have heard 230's are a bit more collectable, rarer and bring a bit higher pricing. Any information is appreciated.

Sounds like a good buy with the dtuff that goes with the tractor as 230s seem to be for collectors.

I've heard of people who didn't care much for the 230.A farmer I used to work for back in mid to late '50s had one along with an H.I thought it was a good tractor. I'd say $1600.00 with equipment is a good buy.

Had one in fair condition, it looked good from far......but far from good. This was 4 years ago, but got $3500 for it. Wide front, fast hitch, fenders, and rear weights. No implements. For what you described, I'd be ALL over that deal. I've seen disks in the $700 range and disk plows in the $500 range. That leaves a pretty cheap tractor.
