It was 22 degrees here this morning at 6 AM. That put a pretty good layer of frozen ground on top. I called the guy that delivers the landscape chips yesterday and told him to be here at day light. HE was early. GOOD MAN. By day light I had the first load spread. I was able to use the skid steer. I windrowed the chips and the boys spread them out nice and even by hand. At 7:30 the job was done. Took two loads but it looks nice. It will be frozen in the morning but by the service time it will be smeary on top.

Visitation will be tonight and funeral tomorrow.

This weather sure is not corn planting weather. Even getting any oats planted is going to be a chore. Have about 75 acres of oats/hay to seed. It is all waterway and such. They take twice as long as a regular field.

Sounds like a good job well done, people attending will appreciate your work. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family the next few days.
