Congrats on your aniversary. That' the way to do it. Nothing like a good woman to make for a good life. Hope you have many more of these celebrations.

Congratulations to you and your wife. As they used to tell us at work.."You did it right the first time. Best wishes and many more.

Congratulations to both of you. We were married while I was in the Army in 1953. We went to the same school for awhile. We graduated from high schools about 5 miles apart. I asked her to attend my senior prom in 1951. We will be married 60 years this year. I was furloughed from the military base where I was working when drafted. Was rehired in 1955. Our daughter was born at Ft Bragg NC. Here's a pic taking in 1956. Picture won't post. Hal

I too married my "prom queen". Lasted 48 years and she passed on with a heart attack a couple years ago. The memories are there but I am moving on with my life. Same thing I would have wanted her to do. Hard to restart after that long with one person but it's coming along.

Not whining, just stating fact.

Congrats to you long timers.

The "proof of the pudding" as the saying goes is on the tail end when the glamor and flashing lights are gone. That where the real test is. Funny the reactions you get when youngsters hear about your longevity. They act like you are some kind of misfit in today's society. Well maybe to some you are a role model.

Course the thing I always lived with was the fact that you are going to make it work. With two pulling together it does work.

Congrats, I had an aunt and uncle married on April 1, sorry to say, they're both gone. Was my Dads brother and the best uncle I knew. I think they got married right before he left for Korea, so was right around your time frame too. Hope you many more. chris

Lou, Congratulations to the Both of You. That is a Major accomplishment. My wife and I's 23 yr looks pretty small in comparison compared to your 56 yrs.
Y'all have a great Anniversary.

Congrat to the both of you. That takes a lot of giving and taking, and a whole lot of understanding. I'm sure you will have many more.

Congratulations!! My little wifey and I are going on 54 years. I lovingly refer to her as "the other half of the scissors". I'm so grateful that she's the "sharp' half. Life is great when your mate is the right one. I've been so blessed!
