Yesterday we were on a road trip. We went by a forty acre field where a farmer had been spreading manure with a big red tractor. There was about 200-250 turkeys dining in the waste. What do you think his chances sre of having a good stand of corn? If half of those turkeys reproduce there will be ten times as many mouths to feed. What do you do to stop the turkeys, sandhill cranes, crows and other various birds. I think this is the worse scurge we have ever had. Not a turkey lover!!!! Randy

We hate the wild turkeys. Husband calls them "flying deer" since they are big enough to do serious damage to your grill or windshield if you hit one.

Don't know the solution, but a lot of critters are becoming too abundant around here.

I tell young people to learn Spanish. I don't think the future for ag in US looks to promising. Hunting and recreation. That's the future if we can manage inflation.

We tryed one a few years ago and I don't want to do that again. tasted like what thay were eating yesterday.

He will have a lot less volunteer corn to deal with. The turkeys were after the undigested whole kernal corn.

I HOPE Avipel has gotten special exemption for use here in Michigan again this year. I used it last year and it turned a HUGE problem in to an almost non existent event. I think 6 states had exemption to use it. I've heard Mississippi has it this year. I contacted a company rep about a month ago and he said they thought Michigan would get it again.
It's just a seed coating. Measure out the right amount of powder, dump it on the seed in the planter box and mix it with a stick. It's not a poison, but it gives any bird a gut ache real quick and they leave it alone.
