I was at one of our nearby farm supply stores called Rural King. They had customer appreciation days today and tomorrow.

They sell baby chicks and ducklings this time of the year. There were two men standing by the baby chick cage and discussing how they roast a chickens for meal time...You had to be there.

John, I was at TSC the other day, they had "chick days" also. One pen had ducklings and a sign that said "Some may be migratory". LOL!

I saw that too. In Michigan at least I believe that sign is there because it is illegal to keep wildlife without a permit from the DNR. Excluding Mallard ducks, since they will hang out and intermingle (or make babies) as my daughter says.

I like that store .It's a lot nicer than the one in Collinsville.Plus it's a good reason to go to Blue Springs for dinner. It's all the way across the county but worth the trip.

A lady at the local farm feed and grocery was selling Easter rabbits. I asked how much per. She said 12 dollars. I asked if that included cleaning or did I have to butcher it. You shoulda saw her face. The local feed store peanut gallery got a good laugh.
