Prairie grass seed ?

If you want native grass check with your county fsa office. A seed or fertilizer dealer should be able to help you find seed.

NRCS should be able to give you contacts for a supplier. Be careful though and make sure you get a mix that will sod and not just clump.

Erik;

I thought the prairie grasses--big and little bluestem, Indian grass and switch grass,etc-- were bunching grasses. Depends on the planned use, I guess.

I have ordered Buffalo from Stock Seed out of Nebraska, and have been pleased. Might put them on the list to compare prices.

In the classifieds of the ''High Plains Journal'' and the ''Livestock Weekly'' both have seed sections and plenty of individual sellers of various prairie grasses and native grasses. Both publications classifieds are available online.
