National plow

I was looking at a 4 bottom 14 inch semi mounted plow today and the only thing I could find on it was National. Looks a lot like a heavy Oliver, but it is orange with off white colored rear and gauge wheel. Havent been able to find anything on the computer about it. Was wondering if any of you have heard of a National plow, who made them, and are parts available? Did not have a camera with me. Thanks for any help anybody might be able to give me. Butch

Never heard of a National. It could be a late Case from the colors.Oliver/White made plows for Case(and Ford) in the '70s.

My dad had a National with 3 14" bottoms. It was a 3 pt. hitch and he pulled it with a Bavid Brown 990. As I recall it was red and oliver points fit it. It was a good heavy plow.

Good little plows. We sold them as Case dealers after Case bought out David Brown, They had the "Star" branded " bottoms, same as oliver.

I have a 4-bottom 3-point hitch National plow. Red or orange-red. Category II hitch, guage wheel, trip beams, kind of a heavy plow. I always bought Oliver points and shins for it. Look like Oliver bottoms. Who knows, maybe the National Plow Works made plows for ???

Never heard of a National plough here in the UK. When David Brown started making their own brand of tractors in 1939 they also made a range of implements to go with them. For many years afterwards they used Oliver bottoms on the plows. A very good bottom for plowing matches and sill used today. MJ
