John Deere Model 45 Loader w/ Snow Blade (PICTS)

I thought I would share what I picked up this past weekend for the collection. I went to the local automotive swap meet and found this nice John Deere Model 45 loader with not only the Manure bucket but also the snow blade. The guy selling it said that he had it on his John Deere 60. My plan is to put it on my 1956 John Deere 60 and use it to push snow and pick things on and off the trailers. I think its in pretty good shape and will come in handy around here! Bought it for $250 delivered! Seller was asking for $400 so was able to talk him down a bit. I'm not too familiar with these loaders, and the seller was telling my the snow blade attachment was an option that could be had. Is that correct then? He also said the added flat metal around the spears and sides on the manure bucket was an option too. Is that correct? I think its a nice addition to the collection, something that will come in handy and I've been wanting one of these loaders for awhile so all the better!

Thanks for reading!

Those were all options, if you just had straw manure you did not want those plates on the loader but if you had sloppy manure then the forks alone would not handle it so you bought only what you needed

Hard to tell, but that snow blade was either modified or all built. It does not look like the one I had.

Does the plow have runners under it to keep it from digging into the dirt on uneven ground?

I have a professionally built Vee plow to replace the bucket on an IH 33A loader on my H Farmall. It must have been an option. I haven't used it for years, more comfortable in a pickup with a plow.

Sounds like a good deal. It should do what you want with no problems.
We have one on a JD 50, use it for a lot of light jobs.
I see a few of them around that have been bent/broken, braced and welded.
Guess some guys think they are a bulldozer.
My trip lever is on the left too. I like it there since the hand clutch is on the right.
Congrats on the new loader!

I had a 45 loader also. Good loader! 45 is for narrow front end. 45W is for wide front end. Thought I'd point that out. Hope you have narrow front.
