What happened to the second seat, the front fenders and side
shields, I'm gonna own one of these before I die, I've always
liked these, it will hurt the pocket book though, very hard to
find and spendy.

Its a rough example, but its better than the one I don't own.
I thought for a minute it might be original until I saw the paint on the tires.
Wonder what it will go for.........

Was told 150 MM UDLX tractors were made 1938. They were only made for 15-16 months then production stopped. Have heard estimates that only 50 are known to exist now.One would think the one in this picture if running will bring a healthy price at auction.Does appear to be missing some sheet metal, otherwise shedded and original.

Seems to be a quick paint job on it when they don't cover anything up. It may have been painted 20 years ago, but whoever did it didn't care too much about the job.

That doesn't look like any UDLX I've seen.If I remember correctly the UDLX had a spotlight,radio,heater,working windows,and rear view mirrors.Could it be a R cab on a U?

Looks like one that would be well worth it to take to a car body shop and restore-- but, where would you get the front fenders? Wonder if someone threw them away? Those things had to be hot in the summer without a.c.

Rare tractor, but I guess not all of them are going to be show room mint when found, making the complete originals worth more money.

Too bad someone ruined it with a "paint the tires" paint job. Another case for having people pass some sort of competency test prior to purchase of paint.

For all the bad comments this tractor is getting, who would
have thought the online bidding would already be
approaching $15,000? Most bidders won't start bidding for a
few days still. I walked around there yesterday too and
enjoyed the oversprayed tire collection far better than the
100% original crowd at most shows.

The tractor in question very well could have arrived in the collection in that condition, tt's still a rare tractor regardless of what has been "done" to it, just would have been worth more complete and with tires that didn't have paint on them.

Poor paint and overspray is a major beef of mine as 99% of the time it's someone who a) doesn't care or b) someone who thinks they are doing this fantastic job and making it "better" when all they are doing is detracting from it.

I don't think it is represented as a UDLX, the white card says 1937 U with factory cab.

The UDLX and the common Model U tractor with factory cab option were very different animals.

It is being advertised as a UDLX. However, I don't believe the tractor is a UDLX, looks more like a U with a cab added. As mentioned before, a completely different tractor. If it actually were a UDLX it would be a steal of deal at $15 000, as the last 3 UDLXs I saw sold went for between $120 000-$165 000.

Did this tractor sell? I never heard any more about the sale.

Also... I want that New Holland sign hanging from the rafters!
