OT - Vacation Picture

Just got home tonight after a week in Freeport, Bahama.
This was the view from our balcony.
We brought some warm weather back, supposed to be nearly 50 this weekend.
Not bad for Michigan. :)

And to think, those people in that cruise ship out
there in the background only got to spend a day
there!! Lucky you!
 
It is beautiful. I fell in love with it when I was in the navy.
Been going back every chance I get since.
Good part is that I now travel on my own schedule.
Bad part is that I now travel on my own dime! :)
Funny that you mentioned the cruise ships. One of them pulled in for an hour
or two as you mentioned. In that time I ran into a guy that I used to work
with who was on the cruise. Met him in town. What are the odds? Small world!
 
You were gone for a week? Then you didn't hear about....... Just kidding. Glad you had a good time.
I know I could sure stand to get out of here for a while.
 
I been wondering where you've been, haven't heard from you in a while. Looks like the perfect place to go this time of year!
 
Nice Photo! My wife and I have been to Freeport 4
or 5 times. I like it there a lot but she always
says it is not "warm" enough (you do not want to
know what hot means!)so now we go to Puerto Rico
(PR) or Dominican Republic (DR). We are going to
DR on Monday for a week. I like it there too
(although I consider it a bit "warm", She
considers it perfect so it MUST be.) XD
I consider PR the best deal (least expensive) in
the Caribbean but nothing is cheap anywhere in the
Caribbean this time of the year. PR is also nice
in that you do NOT need a passport to go there as
it is a US territory. It is also a major airline
hub in the Caribbean so flight are less expensive
(not to be confused with cheap).
 
Looks great there. Maybe at Oakley this year we
can chew the fat a for a few about the Bahamas.
We've been looking for something different after
going to Jamaica a couple of times.
