I looked for this picture for a long time, I use to hang out in Randys locale most weekends.

This was one of my babies. 71 Chevelle SS. Not a clone. Mild 454/TH400/4.11 12 bolt. Shift at 7500rpm and hang on.

This pic I was launching at 2500rpm, with 150hp shot of nitrous. Ran 11.02. That day I was trying to jet the NOS to 400hp, but kept breaking loose. I wired the NOS through the ignition, so as soon as the engine hit 3000rpm it was on the whole run.

Those were fun days, I bought a lot of tractor stuff for what I sold that car for. The guy that bought it "had" to have it. Reminded him of his first car.

I miss drag racing, but love my tractors.

I wouldn't mind having that car. I still race my 4wheel drive in the dirt. I am a thirty three yr member of East Coast 4 Wheel drive and still going. I like the license plate up front, I have the same on my 79 chevy duallie that hauls my racer around Pa.

did you see the one that sold at Barret Jackson auction a few years back? It was a convertible,it said TruppiKling racing on the side,it brought a huge price,,The guy who bought it took it to the town he grew up in and drag raced all his old high school buddies,He said they beat me back then, but not now!

The guy that bought the convertible Truppi-Kling LS-6 your talking about paid over a million for that car.Nevada real estate investor, went bust sold the same car at auction a few years later,it didn't bring 300k.

Bout a half hour from my place. I remember going there back as far as 1965. Sure changed a lot since then.
