What's the NADA on em? KBB says yours is worth more. They are just trying to make a profit.

Rick

I can"t believe you actually made them a counter offer. I would have told them to pack sand right after I found out what they thought their truck was worth. Here is what NADA says about their POS:
Values
Rough
Trade-In Average
Trade-In Clean
Trade-In Clean
Retail
Base Price $1,600 $2,425 $3,100 $5,175
Mileage (110,000) $1,250 $1,250 $1,250 $1,250
Options: (add options)
TOTAL PRICE: $2,850 $3,675 $4,350 $6,425
So if NADA says Retail is $6425, where do they come off by asking almost twice as much and then trying to blow smoke up your azz telling yours is worth less??? Amazing. Be sure and shoot them the finger every time you drive by in your "04!

They are in the business to make money and that's all they are in business for. They made you a deal and you had the right to refuse the offer, plain and simple. What, and tell the truth, did you expact them to do? They didn't care that you refused it they only cared that they made money if you took them up on their offer. And that's the truth, it's life.

Well, it is a very clean truck. Must be road miles. I had a supervisor some years back that found a truck he liked. They priced it and he countered with an offer several hundred less. When they said no he said, well you have my phone number, when you get ready to sell it give me a call. About a week later they called him to say they would take his offer.

i called them using my secondary cell phone, so when i'm done, it goes off, no voice mail... i was just browsing at trucks, i knew that they didn't want to give me much for mine, but they can, [as you stated], double the amount to sell theirs,if i asked them to check what their truck was worth on nada, they probably would have hung up on me...lol... they are 100 miles away, they just have a phone number they can call and no answer,,lol...
