John, you forgot a word in your topic, "Anything BUT John Deere".

Oh I suppose we'll let the green guys have a night. Just don't let it happen again.

Just funnin.

First JD and the first time I turned a furrow for any length of time. The 730 belongs to a club members son as is the nicest working JD I know.

I had one of those years ago.Worked good till a tree fell on it and crushed it! I think it was made by Remington.

I remember when 95s and 105s were popular around here, I think it was the 105 that was the real screamer , you could hear it 2 miles away.

One room school house bell made by John Deere Plow Co. I will not tell you what it sold for at auction, you would believe it only if you we're there as I was.

how much bandwidth do you think all these photos are using up? I'm not dialup and it still took a long time for all of them to load. Bill

this may be a duplicate response for me, but how much band width do you think all these photos used up.I'm not on dialup but it still took a long time to load. Bill

Saw this in 2009 at the Shelby Iowa Carstens Farm Show! Said they saw the mast standing up in a fence row, figured this was what it was. Very few made, let alone still in existance! They had to make several parts to complete it! He operated it too! Alittle cumbersome, but better than by hand!

We're wireless here and a couple of times that I got on here this evening it took some time for some of the pictures to load. A bunch of great pictures though.

That's Grandpa on the flywheel and Dad in the seat in 1939 , the day this brand new "B" was delivered to their farm.

I posted a day or two ago of the IHC Tractor, Truck, and combine in 1951. Well this photo was taken on the same farm 50 years later. Custom cutters.

Took the wife along time to make it but it was worth every minute to see our sons face when he saw it

Hey Case Nutty! What model was that old wire baler, you pictured? I have often wondered, being as my dad was instrumental in working the bugs out of the twister boxes, and timing of needles, when they first came out.

Sam! I sure would like to know more, about that last picture! Now that is scarry! It makes me wonder how the operator got out of the cab, and looks impossible to recover the tractor!

Dan in Ohio:

Do you happen to remember what the steel stool next to the bell sold for ?

I have one just like it, mine was originally my Grandfather's, then my Father had it for 50 years, and now it's mine.

Something a little different on the JD line. A 400 & 600 spring sheller. I plan to get the smaller one running with some more parts.
