Tired Iron Museum Auction

Alot of very rare / neat stuff. HOWEVER read Aumanns condition report on each unit. Missing parts, stuck, not running and etc. Everything has a paint job but all sound like "projects".

I went there about when I was about 10 years old. I didn't remember all the stuff they had.

For some reason I had thought they had already auctioned their collection after the owner had died.

It was by appointment only. The person's name was Wayne "Bump" Hamilton and he had the farmland around where the building is on the Genesee River flats. He has been gone for many years now. I knew one of the brothers and the brother has been gone for several years. They were easy enough to talk to but I don't think they viewed the collection as a normal museum.

They had the regular farm auction within a year after the passing of the owner if I recall correctly. He was big into edible beans and had a JD 4240 and a couple of 2520's.

"Tired Iron" contains a fascinating collection of equipment, some of it quite rare.

But as others point out most items will need work to be brought into running condition.

I went there 15 or more years ago . The owner was there and we talked to him a little and began looking around. After a few minutes he said "you guys look OK to me. Pull the door shut when you get done in here. I've got men working and I have to get going." I heard he had passed away , and always wanted to go back. Stopped once when it was supposed to be open but wasn't. Talked to family members who ran it afterwards but I dont think it was open much in recent years.

Bill, click on View Bids to see the current bid and the description of each item. Looks like lots of "challenges" there.

I have a bid in on something so far. The side of the block is welded alot but hopefully it still runs. I won't be heartbroken if I don't win, especially since I don't have a way to get it back to Ohio yet, but we'll see what happens.
