Not me but my step son, Dr.Justin Murphy of Howard Payne University, is in Brownwood Texas with wife and Grand Sons.

My wife being from Idabel Oklahoma with their main shopping places being Texarkana and Paris we kinda feel Texas is part of our culture. Future plans are to buy a place close to Brownwood.

Cameron County, far southern tip of Texas. Came from Mesquite, Dallas County. Wife born in Mt. Pleasent in beautiful Titus County.

Daaaa guess where I'm from? Give you 3 guesses and the first two don't count. Grin.

Left Texas (to live) once and that was at the courtesy of the benevolent uncle in the sky. Soon as that was over this boy was back home. Didn't realize how deeply my roots were planted.

Gonzales county, Harwood, Tx. Good call James as today is Texas independence day. I restocked the ice box in the house yesterday, as well as the small one in the garage, with Lone Star in preparation of the celebration today, tomorrow, etc.!!

I flew into Shephard a couple of times. I remember the spring of 1979 right after a tornado did damage on the base. Some T37s got banged around a little bit. The T38s were unscathed.

TDY Randolph AFB Late August to early November 1975. Beautiful base! Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio was fairly new back then.

The western boundary on our farm is on the Titus County line.

Morris County was part of Titus County at one time.

Mt. Pleasant is 10 miles West of our farm.

Sticker Creek Ranch,, in Sayers, Tx,, we now have a stop light. Bexar County (pronounced Bear County to you Yankees)

My wife is a pure quill Texan, born in the "Rose City" of Tyler and educated at Texas Tech in Lubbock. Does that count?

Wow, Hammerman, I didn't realize you are in Carthage. Home of Tex Ritter and Jim Reeves; also the locale for the great movie, "Bernie", with Jack Black and Shirley MacLain.

I live about 20 miles from you in La., nearer to Bethany and Deberry. Grew up in Logansport. Related to Huey Spears. I lived three years in Houston and spent a little time at Bliss, so maybe I qualify as an almost- Texan.

Tyler is a beautiful city with its annual Rose Festival.

Completely different from Lubbock out on the edge of the caprock.

Spent my first year of college as a Red Raider.

Flew into Reese a couple of times. The 1995 BRAC for ATC was between Reese and Vance. Vance squeaked out on that round.

Born, raised, and live in NC, but I spent several months stationed at Naval Station Ingleside, and living in Corpus Christi back in '92. If there was anywhere in the country I'd leave NC and move to, it would be Texas.

Born in Dallas 1950. Now live in Centerville half way between Dallas and Houston.I used to love hauling ice to my grandmas house for her ice box. Really nice in the summer time. Hot day cold ice.Hated washing cloths in the kettle with the lye soap.

UT PanAm is my home base.
I work for the University of Texas System facilities construction department.
My construction watch includes UT PanAm and UT Brownsville.

Pretty picture of the lake and CR1235. If Indiana has a warm April, the dogwoods and redbuds will start blooming in our Indy neighborhood mid April.

There is something about 114 degree's with 100% humidity that makes me want to leave that country to persons much tougher than me.

What are you looking for, how much do you think is reasonable, and
how will it get from present to future location?

I know of a guy on HWY 69, N. of Greenville that probably has a
couple hundred bales of bermuda. Look ragged in the bale as the
grass usually does, but looked ok in the field before cutting. Have
no idea as to the nutritional content.

If you're referring to my question to Hay_Man at the moment I have 80 bales that an 18 wheeler is going to deliver to me this next week. It's fertilized Coastal 4X5 bales that I gave $30 where it sits. To me the rain/drought prospect in my location is gloomy. I buy/sell hay year around so I'm always looking for hay.

If you don't mind could you get me some contact info on the hay you mentioned?

It gives me something to do and sometimes I even have a purty hay buyer.

I'm going to town (Greenville) tomorrow but might not catch
anybody at home. I may run over there today with my camera and
see what's up.

Will post later in the day under your name to get it up front in the
forum.

Don't go to any trouble to take photos. .If hay owner wants to sell the hay he can send me photos. All I really need is contact info.
Thanks Jim
