Did anyone here try the flex water hose advrtised on TV. If so. do they live up to the hype. I know I could just go buy one and try it out myself.

Are you talking about those self storing POS's that scrunch up when you drain them? They work OK when under full pressure like feeding water to an RV but the are not worth a dam when you use them to water or wash something. The also need to be the exact length you need as they don't coil up worth a hoot under pressure.Kind of like a fire hose where they more curve than bend.

just purchased two but have not tried them yet.
seems ideal for us aging folks to water flowers and
plants near the house. i do not expect it to work
as good as a regular hose and will continue to use
good quality ones for serious watering or washing
needs.

They tried it on that "Try it Before You Buy it" segment on the news a while back. Seemed to think it was great. The anchor babe said she was going to get one to put on her boat. I think there are a few different brands now though aren't there? Might be a difference in them.
