Old Tappan --borders Tappan NY where Andre was hung . Benidict Arnold escaped to England. River Vale has Baylors massacre site. The guy from River Vale may add some info on that.

Old Tappan was all farm land when i was growing up. Not anymore. Same with River Vale . Had a turky farm across the street and farm all around me now its all developed. i still have 5 acres and a horse but neighbors don't like it. I'm the local redneck.Oh yea and 5 tractors.
 
I grew up in Haworth and in the 60s my friends Dad used to take us up around River Vale and OT for fishing . Once he turned onto Old Hook road it was like being out in the farmland. I think we were by where the resevoir wasn't dug yet and was still a stream.I remember a farm house on a hill surounded by corn . I wish I knew exactly where we were.If you pass by my house on Cripplebush Road look for my 41 Farmall down by the barn .It has a snow plow on the front.Stop in and say hi.There is flames on the mailbox.
 
I know your house. i'm just down the road on westwood ave. cross the bridge down on the right side before the big curve.I always wondered who owned that tractor!
 
I lived in Old Bridge for two years prior to the Army...worked in Edison , and New Brunswick areas.
