Road Conditions

Central Michigan - schools throwing in the towell for tomorrow already. Wet snow, couple-three inches, drifting. Can drive the roads, but difficult. 4wd a plus. Son is on I-96 right now, west of Lansing running in the 30 to 35mph range. Am watching his progress on computer right now. Forecasts don't have this letting up until morning.
 
I am located 6 mi south of the I-94 corridor near exit 56 in Mich , currently have 2 inches of wet heavy new snow and not snowing at this time . if it doesn't snow any more 1-94 should only be wet, if it snows tomorrow all bets are off as to the what the road conditions will be . if the snow is lake effect tomorrow traveling I-94 through Berrien and Van Buren Counties can always be a challenge
 
I'm about half way between Grand Rapids, MI and Lansing, MI, and 12 miles
north of I96. We got about 1/4 inch freezing rain/ice with a little snow on top.
Calling for maybe 2 inches of snow overnight.
Slick and slow, but doable.

Maybe down there. UP here they do a great job with the roads and we get a lot of snow too.

SE Michigan roads are mainly wet today. Major roads all have been cleared. Temps were in the mid 30's this AM, so no freezing on the roads. Had a normal commute to work this AM traveling 70+. Lots of schools closed which helps with traffic.
