Going to be heading into the eye of the storm tomorrow. In Des Moines now and going to Ottawa Ks. to del. tomorrow, then pickup in KC and del in Cedar Rapids Ia., then pickup in Cedar Falls Ia. and back to Kc. So I'll be lucky enough to be in the center of the storm for 2 days. In case I don't make it out it's been great knowin all of you. lol

Be safe Jon, problem around KC is they don't get enough of the snow/ice to ever really learn how to drive in it. Result is stranded vehicles all over the roads and stopped up traffic.

You will be in my neck of the woods - I'm 4 miles north of Ottawa. Look for the top of the silo, as that might be all that is sticking out.

I agree with being careful on your way through the city. Those desperate housewives have no idea what to do with their minivan when the snow falls. Last week they were interviewing all of the ladies that walked away from their vehicles in the snow. If my wife had left a vehicle of ours in that situation I would have been really cranky. At that point there was about 6 inches and a little wind.

Put a message on here if you get stranded down here and we'll get in touch.

Hay my friend,
Really enjoyed our lengthy phone chat, all things tractor related , HEHe yesterday. Sure hope your issues are time related, rather than O-sh!t-no place to manuver. My cousin just converted to the super singles on his PB and was really impressed by them on slick roads. Stay in touch and keep the White Eagle ahead of the load.

Do yourself a favor and stay where your at. Last Thursday was bad and this is supposed to be worse. If you have to pay one tow bill it will cost you more than what you can make on that run.

I got off work in Ottawa just a bit ago. As of a couple hours ago it wasn't to bad. You might want to call ahead to see if your delivery place is open. Where I work they were trying to reschedule the appointments because of the storm. As a matter of fact only one person showed up for the night shift in recieving area as I was leaving.

If you are on I-35 you won't see it. I am about two miles northwest of the Tennessee road/LeLoup (193) exit as the crow flies. I'm on the country roads they don't plow for a few days. We were just down to seeing some gravel on the road as of yesterday. Guess I won't see it for a while again. Good thing I spent part of my day yesterday moving snow piles into the hog lot. I need someplace to pile this batch!
