641 wheel weights

I have a 641 ford tractor with the orginal factory spin adjustable wheel rims size 12x28 tires. I have purchased a loader for the tractor along with a used oem power steering. I am wondering if the pie weights or what type wheel weights should be used on the rear wheels.

Yes, cast iron wheel weights will help as will loading the tires. You don't tell what part of the world you live in but if in the south you can use plain water whereas in the north Calcium Chloride is commonly used, because it weighs about fifty % more than water. It is very corrosive and many will say that it will eat your rims. That is false however, because it is actually procrastination in getting a slow leak fixed that ruins the rims. Back in the day the loader tractor was usually two wheel drive and was pretty much dedicated to the loader, and it was very common to see a 55 gallon drum filled with rocks mounted between the lift arms.

Something else you should think about is ALWAYS have as heavy a piece of equipment as you can on the 3 point so as to off set the weight of the loader. I use a back blade with 6 85lbs suit case weights on the blade and a 150lbs wheel weight on the center link
