I reported last week tyhat I bought a Farmall H from an amish dealer in Charm Ohio. The condition was that the tractor would run. When we arrived he had left the ignition switch on and the new battery was flat gone. Got another and started the tractor, let it run a few minutes and then loaded it on the trailer. After a 55 mile trip to its new home it started right up and unloaded so I wanted to take it to the barn but had to go on the road about 50 feet to the barn driveway. Ya'll know what happened in the middle f the road. Yep, it quit and would not start again so we toed it up the garage and took off the fuel lie. The tank was plugged so after cleaning out the tank of sludgey and blsck rust and cleaning out the fuel line it ran good for a while so I learned" when transporting an old tractor, first drain the gas tank to keep the liquid(mixture if rust, old stinky gas and water) from sloshing around and cause problems in the freezing weather " A lesson learned

It would have done the same thing from driving it around, you would have had to clean it. Good thing to have done.
