The original subject was "OT Identity Theft".
Would like to add, you need to notify the IRS via a form they have on-line. Someone that has your social security number can list an exemption with that number, if they file before you, your return gets rejected when e-filing. You have to file by mail and wait for IRS to investigate. We are being told the current wait to get our refund is at least 180 days. We are the victim and the theft gets their extra refund from claiming the exemption. That seems to be life these days.
