What's the difference between a fairy tail and
trucker's story? A fairy tail starts out "Once upon
a time" and a trucker story starts out "This ain't
no BS". Otherwise they are the same. LOL Heard this
on the tv.

My truck driving son, is fairly full of it! but does make good listening, and very humorious. I do like the way you put that!Randy sure does'nt let the truth get in the way , of a good story!

There's a few of us that meet occasionally at a local restaurant for breakfast, and a few of them are truckers. Mostly dump drivers, a couple of over the roaders and a few local semi haulers. You'd think they were the smartest men on earth the way they talk. One of them can even tell you what he did day to day since he was born. And we've heard every adventure he's had since he was a kid- in triplicate. Each one is a genius, can always point out a better way, and should have been elected to high office. It's a real edumacation listening to each one of them try to out do the other one's story.

I drove semi over the road for about 30 years, and bean in all but 3 states in the lower 48;
There is a big difference in lies, some people tell lies that no one would believe. But when I tell a lie I tell one that one could believe.

lol sounds like normal, i can spin a yarn or two myself, the fun part is telling it and watching people eavesdroping on the story, its fun to see how high i can pile the b/s and still not get called on it

I drove truck until I retired from it 3 years ago. One thing I learned was if you ever needed to know something about something just ask a group of drivers. It was just like this group on this board. There was always someone that could tell you about it or how to do it just like here. Just like here, they were usually pretty accurate too.

I don't think of it as lying when I tell a story and may add a detail or two to make it a better story. I prefer to think of it as inbellishing! Rocky.
