Windy here too this afternoon

If you havnt herd yet a tornado hit Hattiesburg this afternoon about 5:40, from what i can find out it pretty well demolished University of Southern MS, which is pretty much in the middle of town.

This is 40 miles from me.

The weather channel has a video of it in progress.

I know a guy or did know him that is a Professor at that college. He graduated the same years as I did in the same high school I did both back in 1974 Cleveland High in Cleveland MS

There were storm chasers in the area and got a good video of the tornado. It looked to be a quarter mile wide.

Them chasers got be nuts. The camera man that did the news picture on GMA this morning looked like he was driving right to wards the funnel. The funnel looked like it was coming right down main street.
