Not A Big Deal But Mini Horse Thing

I looked all over the net and couldn't fine horse collar pads mini size. The pads on the miniature horses in youtube videos looked like they were using full size pads. Thought they looked out of place on the little horses. Sooo I decided to give making them a try. Results were fair and I do know what I did wrong to cause the wrinkle in the center. However those wrinkles will not ride on the horse and be hidden under the collar. Over all I am happy how they turned out even with the pucker over the neck.

Dad talked too a man close to us that made harness for big horses and explained what we had. The man made a full set of work harness with 2 collars and pads at a very reasonable price. That was about 17 years ago. Do a search for "miniature horse collar pads" and several options come up. Here is just one I found. There are many. Or you could go to the AMHA web site, search for your state and ask some of the members.

If you are not looking for authentic looking, the nylon pads are good and a good price.

The pads at your link are for under the driving saddle and for a driving breast harness and not under the neck collar. Sorry you didn't like my attempt to make my own to fit my miniature horse rather than but what ever the market has to sell.

I made what I wanted myself. Why would I need to pay someone to do things I like to do myself?
I am sorry I posted a picture that you didn't think was a useable pad.

Probly hard to picture in ones mind without pictures what size of horses I am dealing with.

No. I like yours. Looks pretty good to me. Making your own, you have the horses there and can trial fit and make changes if needed. Just posting a link so if someone else wants some and not good at improvising. Internet or phone ordered, you get a standard size. Our horses (don't let anyone call them ponies!) are real easy to work with and very gentle. They are about 20 years old not but still in good health. AMHA registered American Miniature Horses.
