Bought a different loader tractor today

I bought this 1365 today. I've had the same loader tractor for over 31 years now,a Deere, been holding out for just the right replacement and when I saw this one,I was pretty sure it was the one.
No offense to the Cockshutt guys, but as soon as the weather warms up,this one's getting a Meadow Green and Clover White paint job so it matches the other 7 Olivers around here.

Ya,that pan seat was the one little thing I didn't like about it,but it wasn't a deal breaker. I can find something aftermarket to fit it.

Congratulations, they are one tough little tractor. They start well, steer good and are easy on fuel. Just make sure to leave the PTO clutch engaged when not using the PTO[disconnect with the little lever in front of the seat]. Tends to push the crankshaft out the front of the engine. Good luck with your new addition. Can't have too many tractors....Ron

That's a nice one. I never see anything like that in my part of the country. Everyone has a favorite color. Mine is Cockshutt Red. Been thinking about making a Cockshutt 70. I just haven't found the right Oliver for a donor.

Ya,the PTO will most likely be on all the time anyway. This one has the auxiliary rear pump on it and the PTO has to be running for the loader to work.

At one time a neighbor had 3 of those. His were green and only two wheel drive. He really like them and kept one even after he retired. I wondered about the parts availability on them though. I know a guy that had a 1250 he brought new and sold it a few years ago when parts came hard to come by. Nice looking loader tractor though, the four wheel drive will make a big difference compared to the Deere you showed us a while back.

They claim the 1365 is the one Fiat built that every part is readily available for. Hope I don't have to find out. lol

Very nice--be handy at BOR--USUALLY A LOT OF CRAP GOING ON THERE.

Take care

You've got that right. It'd be easier on my nerves if I'd just stay home and play with it.

I might if I saw him. Julie is the one that everybody sees the most when they go in.

Good luck with it, looks like a nice loader tractor, and the 4wd is a real plus.
I'd like to find something like that for the horse farm!

Randy I been waiting to see a picture of that one! Man it looks straight, and the rubber is pretty good too. I'm really impressed with the con dition of the tractor, looks like it's had a pretty easy life. Good luck with it!

The dealer said the farm it came off of had two of'em. Said the other one didn't have a loader. Looked decent to me.

Only thing now is,the fun of the hunt is gone. For years now I've checked every ad I saw,in print and online, checked every auction sale bill and slowed down at every dealer lot I passed looking for one.
I guess now I'll have to decide just what I'm looking for in a newer pickup,a discbine and a newer round baler.

Looks good, those are a great size tractor. I say that as its the same size as mine.

How strong are the loader attachments on them, do they run back to the rear axle or just mount to the trans and front of the tractor like a new quick-tach style?

Rick

All the way back to the axle. This one has the quick attach bucket. From the pictures,I didn't think it did,but when I got there I was pleasantly surprised. I want to get the same one for the loader on my 1600 Oliver now and get the plates for all of my buckets and attachments so I can just sawp them all back and forth.

Hi
I bought parts for a customers 1270 I think thats what the number was, from him about 2 years ago, he is a pretty busy guy so had to wait a while for parts. His prices are way less than dealers 50 mile up the road so waiting was worth it, Plus it"s delivered to my mail box in town 2 miles away so didn"tblow $30 in gas either.
Im in Canada so don"t have to deal with the brokerage fees on ups shipments though, not sure what that would cost it"s not cheap coming south to north.
If you want parts breakdowns/ Diagrams it can be found online with Agco. Thats where I looked when I had a fuel pump filter parts sequence issue.
Regards Robert

Congrats on the new tractor! Hope it serves you well.
Did you trade that Deere in or are you planning on
fixin' it up so you have a pretty green one?

Pretty good looking machine, ive seen alot of 1365"s looking much rougher. What was your "old" deere loader tractor?

I didn't trade it in. Haven't decided whether to make a project out of it and sell it all shiney and refurbished or cut my losses and sell it to onefarmer as is. Hauling it to St Johns and selling it to Worthington as a donor would have kept me from feeling guilty either way,but I'll let it sit here and rust in to the ground before I'll take $750 for it.

I missed one of those a few years ago - Cockshutt with the loader. Guy had a really good price, but I couldn't get down to see it for many days. Then it was gone...

I have gotten parts from the guy you"re talking about several times down here in the US and never had to pay any brokerage fees and we don"t have to pay the 18% I think its called a GST customers in Canada pay according to Danny the owner

Our neighbour had one like that, and it was the first 4wd tractor I ever drove. Got to run it for a few days pulling forage wagons doing corn, as a kid, back in the 70's. The 4wd tractor could lug a wagon out of any thing, the other tractors of the job that day where165 MF, and where stuck often. Nice find, you will love it. Bruce

Colding starting they are a little different from most tractors. To start mine I crank it over until I see some smoke out the exhaust generally around 5 revelations, then turn the starter handle to the heat position and listen for a 'poof' sound as the heater is in the intake.Crank over and then it'll usually start if its really cold you may have to do it a 2nd time.

Ok I only know what happens here when my stuff comes north. You are lucky if it was courier sent and no stupid charges. I do know if the parts come through regular mail like Canada post or U.S mail if you get dinged it's only a few bucks, not $200 like U.P.S nailed me 2 years ago on a fuel pump I was given :-(
I talked to Danny a few times. A real nice guy :).
Regards Robert
