Can someone name songs that the name of a tractor is in them?
What tractor is named in more songs than any other?
 
John Deere is mentioned in several country songs. (The Judds, Vince Gill, etc.) There is a song about International Harvester by Craig Morgan. It features a 1460 Axial Flow combine in the video. You can see it at CMT Videos.com. "International Harvester" It also has a few good looking women in it. (There's another reason to watch it!)
 
I think John Deere is probably named most often- just a guess.

4. Amarillo Sky talks about a tractor - but I'm not sure it names a particular brand.

5. Same with She Thinks My Tractor's Zexy - probably does not mention a particular brand.

I'm sure there are more...but cannot think of any.
 
Other than John Deere Green, no song comes to mind. But, saw an old movie, Heat Of The Night, I think it was, with Sidney Poitier, and for sure there was a Farmall or IH tractor dealership with lots of brand spankin new shiny red iron in several scenes. To be honest with you, its the only thing I remember about the movie, beyond had Sidney Poitier, and was set in the south, I think. Oh yes, had a song, Heat Of The Night, but don't think it was about tractors, but might have been.

One of my most favorite songs, "You're the reason God made Oklahoma", by David Frizzel and Shelly West.
 
Check out the john deere polka by Leonard Havranek on you tube, A local Nebraska guy who made the polka, its short so some of you won't have to suffer long. I'm 41 and remember him practicing in the bar on Saturday nights while playing other polkas, I'm a rock and roll guy, but have polkas in my blood mothers uncle was Ernie Kucera an Abie Nebraska guy, but passed a few years ago. chris
 
A lot of that movie (Heat of the Night) was filmed in Sparta, Illinois. I like to watch it just to pick out the old landmarks. The Chester, Illinois bridge over the Mississippi River is shown too. And a guy I worked with was running a pull on an excavation site in one of the scenes. I can't remember the IH dealership scenes, but I'll watch for them next time!
