Best common device for carjacking-or tractor jacking.lol. Picked up this one today and waiting for warmer weather. It's prohibited for young farmers or ranchers to handle or transport it,let alone fire the thing, unless has written, permission from guardian or supervision from guardian to be in possession of it. The wife, who hates snakes, might carry it around the yard for her peace of mind with (fires 45lc/410 shotgun) 410 bird shot.During the summer we might have snake for supper, lol. It is certainly a wicked close up protection device.Thinking about adding a sign to the door " THIS DOOR WAS LOCKED FOR YOUR PROTECTION,NOT MINE" lol. One more piece of leather crafting for my son to do. The PPK shoulder holster works just great,so will this one.
Enjoy the photo, LOU.

I like the one they call the "JUDGE" its a pistol that holds 5 410 shells. Some day I am gonna have one.

Nope but if I did I'd bee showing it to the people that carded Me Or text Me Lol. Just the way I feel tonite.

Had one of those once, and shot it ONCE. Most violent little thing I ever shot. Sold it ASAP.

I second was toolz said. That thing is like a fist of fury. No matter how hard you try, you cannot hang on tight enough to control that gun.

My buddy collects those. Derringers, pocket pistol, etc whatever name you want to call them. The ones he has that are 45LC are more than a handful. The little 22LR are much more tolerable.

I have gun thats like that but my barrels are side by side not over and under. It is also chambered .410 and 45 long colt. I carry in it .410 3 ooo buck in 3" shell. The 3" shell comes to about a 1/2" from end of barrel. It is not hard to control and to me the kick is not all that bad.

Jerry not knock the Judge it is nice gun and a very well made gun but to big to carry in pocket.

I want a sign that reads:

Before entering call 911, don't ask for the cops, ask for an ambulance, the cops are gonna be way too late!

Rick

I have the Judge Public Defender, a smaller version of the big Judge. It's only about half-inch longer than a snub-nose S&W .38 spcl. Admittedly, not as small as a Derringer.

She is not going to like what that will do when it goes off...!!!
That sucker is going to be one nasty hand-full..
My 10" .410 single shot jumps pretty good with 2 1/2" shells and bucks like a .44 mag with 3"...
I think I would opt for the DiamondBack .380 or 9mm..(both auto)..extremely light and around 8 oz..

Better try it before you hand that to her..!
(Then..DO NOT make her mad.!)

Ron

As soon as I can fabricate a holder in the VICE I'll fire it and include the video LOL. Looks to be a nasty deterrent for car jackers. Would be a tremendous ear popper in a closed environment=car-room.

They make 4 different barrels for this model, which in essence gives you 4 times to get your hand broke and bones reset before going on to another barrel.lol The barrels are listed as 45/410, 45 acp,357,9mm. If all else fails I'll make one for a BB with a CO2 cartridge insert.lol.Recoil should be low.lol

The lightest little pistol we have is a 25acp,but I always wanted a Derringer. When I was much younger and went to the movies, regularly. I noticed the gamblers had a mechanism on their arm that would throw the derringer into the palm of their hand.If I would to try that now I'd end up being called "lefty" for a while.lol
I really don't think I would want to carry it in my front pants pocket either, sort of the same reason, but not being called "lefty" would be the least of my worries. My voice is not made to sing soprano.lol. I do thank all the responders to the post, and will advise on the pain and suffering that I will experience, when I fire it.
Maybe I'll have the wife try it out first.lol She's only about 98 # soaking wet.Just kidding, I want to keep her around for many more years to come. But she is a darn good shot with her 9mm I got her years ago.

It sure is a fascinating weapon made here in the Good ole USA with a lifetime transferable warranty,(which will only be about 4 rounds per some descriptions on here)lol. Just keep safe and have fun, Regards, LOU

Heres a nice sign to post even if you don't have a dog, make em think twice, that will be the first time they ever did that, (think)lol

ShadetreeRet, yep 410 and 45 long colt. From the book it says you hold the wooden things at the bottom, very tightly.lol I figure I'll load only one shell at a time with about 20 minute between shots, I think that is what happens when we get older, we become overly cautious.lol

If all else fails, I'll mount it to the bucket of the 706, sorta a turret gun,or maybe to speed planting of seeds, replace the shot in the shotgun shell with seeds and have the garden put in in about 10 minutes. Just have to figure how much fertilizer to add to the shell with the seed and how far to aim it to get the correct depth for germination. New way of planting.lol.

Friend of mine has a sign that reads:

"Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again!"

Hey there;
WAY BACK when I was about 5 or 6, (I'm 80 now) my Dad had a Stevens break action single shot .410 pistol. that rascal had a barrel about 12 inches long. Anyhow we had rats in the henhouse, we used bushel baskets on the ground for nests. Dang rats would get into the basket and roll the eggs up the inside the basket and pass it to a rat outside. I called Mom to shoot that rat with the .410, she pulled the hammer back, still holding the trigger, blew a hole in the ground right between us. NEVER called Mom again!!!
Bob
God Bless

The only problem with putting up a sign like that is if you actually do end up shooting someone. Some eager beaver prosecutor will come after you claiming you wanted to shoot someone and charge you with murder.

I know somebody that has one of those from a different manufacturer. It is .45 ACP or .410. The thing is a pretty handy little machine. He carries it for CCW.

Personally, I carry a Bond Arms Snake Slayer. All stainless.Made in Texas, beautiful workmanship. Takes the 3in. .410 or 45 long Colt. I keep mine loaded with double o Buckshot. 2 Shots 10 holes. Makes a lot of noise but very little recoil.

Lou:

Forget the BB and just insert the CO2 cartridge so that the firing pin punctures the nipple seal. That little fin-less rocket ought to pack a pretty good wallop.

Best thing for a shotgun shell, remove the shot & replace with ROCK SALT & MUSTARD SEED. Not lethal except at point-blank range, but rock salt embedded in their flesh will make them WISH they were dead. It burns like fire but eventually dissolves, the mustard seed burns the same but does NOT dissolve & has to be plucked out by a Doctor who will see the "shotgun pattern" and report it to the police - double jeopardy.

I had one of those in .22LR Not much recoil, but I couldn't keep 'em all in an oil can at 10'. Traded it for a Kel-Tec .380--much better, and 4 more shots than the derringer.

That cracked me up, lol... I want to plant my garden that way. :)
I looked at the S&W governor. Wanted one but they weren't available, so I got over it for now.
