Hello- Anybody have any experience with the 4.7 engine ? Good or bad- Thanks mike

Never was around one of those, its only a 286 ci, my 01 has the 318, and its gutless.

My son has two of the 4.7 engines. Other than having to do head gaskets on both of them at 150,000, they have been good. Unfortunately, headgaskets on the 4.7 are rather difficult and expensive to do.

Had a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with this engine. Trades at 134.500 miles. Never had any issue at all. Only changed oil, filter and anti=freeze and one crank position sensor. Tried platinum plugs, run like crap, went back to conventional plugs and run just fine. I was impressed with the power from the engine, not too crazy about the mileage, but have to feed the horses.
