How long does it take rust to appear on unprotected steel in your location?
The disk brakes on the vehicles will form an orange film and be grabby . Just while sitting in the parking lot between start and quitting time. During the above freezing temps on Lake Hiron"s east coast.
A mouldboard plough will rust overnight and make the soil stick until re-polished.

On brake discs rust shows up overnight around here(N.E. NYS) but is gone with one light brake application upon leaveing the driveway.

Here in Illinois the humidity will make brake drums grab and skid the tires in rocks the first two times you apply the brakes. Just after sitting over night.

Humidity in this area is terrible. I've seen 68 degrees and alomost 100% humidity and a person sweats their butt off. Very uncomfortable.

Just yesterday we had 67 degree and 97% humidity and I turned the AC on in the house and vehicle.

In Ireland the minute rain hits metal it is rusting...so that is most of the time!...We get rain for 6 months every year and then it drips off the trees other times!!!!!
LOL....Sam

Here in NW IA, I can put a plow ungreased in the open front shed and next spring it will still be nice and shiny. Brakes take a couple weeks at the least to rust. Flex platforms will only rust where the water sits.

It's very humid here in SE NC. Brake rotors or freshly ground on metal will rust in a matter of hours or faster if the dew or some rain hits it.
