Dug up this tiny rock today. It was about 5-6' across. This one field has handed out bigger before. Just a little hard on implements in the past I'd say. I have found a lot of parts of iron from the past farmers equipment in the field before! Couple of anhydrous points are in there from me too. Here's a pic of firewood for next year too. Yes been working on the cherry for the one customer who likes it 18", hand picked and hand swept.

There were a few big ones on the home farm that we could park the HD7 on top of them; some were too large for a D8 to move so we farmed around them.

Should be a market for it. My uncle used to dig down along side the
really big ones and then role it into the hole. He buried a lot of
them that way. Dug the hole by hand too yet. That was back in the
60's.

Nice stack of wood. Gives one a warm feeling just
lookin' at it. LOL
Just like money in the bank!
Looks like you've got about 3 times what I have.

Hey Oliver Guy,
Nice Case CK you got there. Back when I was a kid in the 50s we had a lot of "earth eggs" like that one, and bigger. Some setting on top of the ground. We had a guy who liked to play with Dynimite. He made them much smaller so we could push them off the fields with a Case 310 dozer. Most of these bolders were not native to our local. They were left here as the glaciers receded. Most came from northern Canada. Some are "Canadian Rose Graneite". I have retrieved some of the peices for our flower gardens.
I have been cutting wood off and on this fall, and have burned a 32' section out of the big pile plus some less seasoned wood of the trailers. I have a Royall Wood boiler in the garage, attached to my radiant heating system and a Fireplace Extrordinair centrally located in our home, which we burn part of the time. DHW is supplied with a solar system and a tie in to the heating system. I like cutting wood and try to keep a little ahead of my needs. LOL Pics. taken within the last few days.

The case guy has to much wood stacked up there and nice little trailers to haul it on sure looks like he's on top of his game. I liked the pic's.

My idea of a stack or stacker is not near as neat and orderly as yours.

Nice work! Especially stacking.

Rock looks like one my son and I unearthed a couple years back. Was vertical in the ground, had a ledge under the top edge. Found several broken plow points under it. I know every plow on this place since 1950 or so, and some of those points weren't from them - so must have been a problem for my Grandfather, before my dad and me.
