cockshutt 40 pto adjustment question

I need to adjust the pto on a cockshutt 40 because of slippage under load. I understand shims can be taken out to help with this. I would appreciate any help with illustrations or a site i could print off illustrations. Thanks.

I've got the illustrated parts book for the 40 and 50 that show the exploded parts diagram. I have done the adjustment on these Ptos but many years ago and can't recall the details. Seems to me it was a bit of guesswork, take out one set of shims and re-assemble pto on tractor to test it out.

JR87, greygoat is right you'd be better off on the Oliver/Cockshutt page. Noticed you are a new user. Do you know how to get to this page? Very simple, same site diff page, look at the top of your screen for a box that says ANOTHER FORUM. Click there and it will give you a list of other forums. Click on Oliver/Cockshutt and you'll be there. I'll see you there and hopefully you'll get your answers. Later Rocky.
