It ain't blue and white, but black and white.
Ran across this pic of our 9N the day we brought her home in 1967. Got it from thr original owner, shiney as the day she came out of the factory. Original S-3 tires on rear and single ribs on the front. $800 and came with all the tools.
$800 was a lot of money back in '67!

Hey Larry,

Thanks for the post. I have a 1973 Ford 2000 that looks just like that except mine is a little ratier.

BTW - Maybe it's just me, but I think that the driver of the tractor in the 12th picture is more attractive than the driver in the 4th picture.

you better believe it! That is the farmer down the roads girlfriend, she drove while I lifted the crates on to the wagon.
[my wife was there the whole time)

Dad gave it to his brother a couple years ago when we got the 860. Then I had to get 2-14's because the 12's didn't make a wide enough furrow for the 860's tires!

larry, yes very good tractors. strong horse power ,dual power trans. sitting on flat deck with a foot throttle make them fun to operate. also very economical to run. it appears theres nothing off limits for your 2000!!!

Its just a 6 speed,no p/s ,but I really like it ,I dont use it in the winter,so I am missing it I guess thats why I went nuts posting pictures of it lol

Ok, I'll bite.
I love those little blue Fords Larry. Yours looks like a real clean one.
The 3000 photos were all taken while it was still a gasser. It's been through several transmogrifications since then.
I need to get some more action photos of them though.

It doesnt use much, and I just changed it and filter, serviced it all up this fall,Has a slight leak in the steering box ,I put corn head grease in it.

Just for general interest, I have a set of spin out wheels and rims with new 13.6-28 Firestone 23's. All brand new, never been on a tractor if anyone is interested....

I always liked the looks of those "thin sliced" pie weights. Probably would be practical for an old guy like me too. Might take a little longer to install but would be better on the ol' back! LOL

More blue.

My 231 with 2600 badges.
My 3930 with the tree spade.
Last couple pics, me getting the snowmobiles down for the winter off the loft. I guess I like blue. Blue tractors, blue snowmobiles, blue tree spade, blue Miller welder and blue cabinets. hmm.

I was going to ask if it was a Ford Snowmobile under the blue cover, LOL. I have a friend who grew up blue, and he has a son that is about 13 that is crazy after getting a Slowjet.

I just sold them. Almost for what my dad paid for them in 1972. Covers, snojet gas cans, jacks, manuals, NOS parts etc.
They were 338 Star Jets.

Here are the blue and whites I have right now...
'89 TW35 - my biggest and newest, '77 7600, '80 4600 - last new tractor my Grandpa bought, '75 7000 - with my wife driving after pulling me out of the mud and ice. Grandpa also bought this one new.

Hi Larry, heres a Ford 4600 that belongs to a farm I worked on, old gal has over 9000 hours on the clock since 2008, and the same in 2012, the meter is broke. Its on its second engine, and is beat up from the 100s of employes that worked there. I tried to buy it last summer when the farm closed up, but the estate wouldent sell any of the tractors. All it did for 30 years was pull this dump wagon full of manure!.. ps. you really should paint your rear rims grey! lol

You did say blue and white night. How about metallic blue? I forgot this in my other post.

Corvette Z06 ALMS version. Full cage, buckets, 5 point belts, Claimed top speed is 198mph. This was given to me to do some evaluations with. If you are good on the clutch it will hit under 12 in the 1/4. Not bad for a production car with no HP tweeks. You can haul it down from 100 to 0 in no time, the ABS barely has the tires making a noise.

I just realized in the pic my one kid only has one sock.

And some that are no longer here... '68 5000 SOS repowered with a 256 gas, Grandpa's 7200 that was traded for the 7000 I still have, a pair of 3000's, '69 5200 (5000 row crop), and my Ford lineup back in '00, which included the '72 9600 that I traded for the TW35.
I also had a '65 5000 and a '76 6600 row crop, but no pictures of them.

All my real tractors are Allis-Chalmers but I do have a few of the smaller blue and white ones.
Here's one earning its keep.

Hey! How about that load of hay ten layers high? and six of them full. I did almost that high a couple of times at the home farm when the boss said that he wanted to get them all on. I think the highest we went was probably nine layers.

Lol! I don't know, a guy I worked for bought a ford 2000 brand new in 1974, those rims were grey. My friend bought the tractor from him in 2003. What year is yours?

Here's why she was out there... I broke through the ice on a drainage ditch when I was putting bales out for the cows. There was no one else around to drive the other tractor to pull me out. She loves me! (It was cold, but not near as bad as it's been the last couple days.)
1264614881.jpg

That only happened when we needed to 'get them all on'. A normal load was 5 or 6 full layers plus a couple on top in the middle of each tier. Still have that wagon, although it isn't used much any more - needs a new floor, and we have hay baskets for the little squares now.
Judging from the leaves on teh ground and the color of the bales, I'm guessing that's a load of straw. And that's me on Grandpa's lap - I was a little too young to help load at that time.

And this isn't even counting the red and greys, or LGT's! Currently 2 LGT 145's, a LGT 165, (only the newer 145 is currently working) and a '53 Jubilee.
In the 'no longer here' list, a LGT145 and a parts LGT165, (2) 860's, an 850, 950, 971, 640 and 641.
I might have an addiction...

I know what you mean, the little one in that picture is fully comfortable cruising around the property driving the dump truck. Or any truck for that matter.

I dont let her move or dump dirt yet, but in a year or two she'll will be ready.
