Tractor salvage yards

The post about an old salvage yard in NY got me wondering....Does anybody know of a good salvage yard in eastern IA or NW IL? I am not necessarily looking for anything, just the kind of place you can go wander and look, maybe get an idea for that next winter project, or maybe find some treasure you didn't even know you needed!

Colfax tractor parts. Colfax Iowa. That place is huge and I have gotten really good prices on some things I bought there.

Tri states in fort Atkinson is good to. I do like eicklenberg the
best. My son and I have bought tractors and alot of parts
there.

Could you have ment ALL STATES in Ft Atkinson Ia? Allstates have 7 stores around the midwest, and two of them are in Iowa. The other Iowa yard is in Urbandale Ia. I have delt with their yard at Downing Wisconson, and liked their service!

All States may have good service but I can always get a much better price out of Worthington Ag Parts.On a 4520 trans. that we redid Worthington was $400 cheaper for the parts.

Justin, I have driven past Colfax many times as I have family in that area, but never stopped...Might have to stop in sometime.
I have heard of All-States and Worthington's, they have both come up in online searches for parts, but weren't sure if they wewre the kind of places you could browse, or if they were simply mail-order type places.
Monmouth and Miles are both pretty close, and this Eicklenberg's sounds interesting. Might have to make some road trips when the weather warms up some!
