OT- Deere hunt frustration

Last hunt of the season, last afternoon of the hunt. Season is Late season anterless only. The biggest 2 bucks I have ever seen on my place came within 30 ft of my stand. One a full bodied 10 pointer, and the other same size, but 1/2 of rack broken off. Stopped broadside to me with a perfect, clear shot and just stood there for almost 60 seconds. Wind was in my favor so they did not know I was there.

I could have spit at them and hit them.

Oh well, they will be there next season!

With the hog we bought at the 4-H fair, and a couple does we put in the freezer during early doe season, freezer was pretty well filled. Son and I decided to hold off until late antlerless season to take any more.... Never saw one during muzzle OR doe season. Couple days after seasons ended, wife almost took out a very antlered buck with her car. Never fails!
 
I took a doe on Friday,I had a either species tag which in Illinois and a CWD county I could of taken a buck,didn't see any bucks and adult does are better eating and reduce the herd by three every time you shoot one.
