Old electric motors

I would like to procure a 1 or 2 HP electric motor for an old Champion air compressor I have. I need something really old with lots of cast iron and brushes. ( compressor built about 1917) Be a real plus if it worked. Originally had an old Westinghouse, but it has one broken foot and I didn't want to sink $600 to get the commutator fixed with that kind of damage. Thanks, Fritz

If you watch craiglist you'll see old motors on there fairly often. The 1940's vintage seem to be more common though.

I'm trying to find a 5 hp for a big IR T30 compressor from the 50's. I've got lots of smaller old leland's etc from the 50's but nothing big enough so far.
