I am probably be on till 3 AM between here and a few other forums , face book ,and several Craigslist.

Happened to me about six weeks ago. Was up at 2:00 A.M. wrapping Christmas gifts. Just could not sleep. Sometimes it helps to get up and do something.

Bunches of us can't or don't sleep off and on. The Red from Indy is reliably on around 3:30 - 4:00 amd others like me will drop in after the hydraulic alarm or the cat wake us up.

I'm often on here at that time of night. I don't usually go to sleep until 3 AM or so, get up at 5 to wake my daughter for school, lay back on the couch til a bit after 6 then take her to school. Then I come back home and hit the couch for another hour or so until it gets daylight and the places I dal with begin to open. I average about 4 to 5 hours a night and that seems to be all I can get. I've tried going to be early and just lay there awake, tried getting up earlier and staying up but still don't nod off until the early morning. Basically I've tried everything I know to get a normal sleep routine down and it doesn;t work for me. Wife says I must be a vampire as I seem to thrive on staying up all night and sleeping during the day, not to mention my uncanny ability to walk around in the dark. If the supply houses were open and I could see to work, doing equipment repairs like I do, I'd almost assuridly be working for myself on 3rd shift. I did it before as maintenance for a few placs and loved it, just wish I could do it for myself....

What gets me is that I've always heard that the older you get the less sleep you tend to want or need. At the rate I'm going, I'll be 45 next months, by the time I hit 60 I won't sleep at all.....LOL

I was wondering what sleeping ants had to do with tractors. Apparently just a sticky "C" key, but it did look funny.

And here I expected to read something about bugs downtime habits!

I have often had trouble sleeping, although with me it usually is trouble GETTING to sleep, rather than waking up after I have been asleep for awhile.

I usually have a book I am reading, and I find that if I read for an hour or two late at night, it usually will get me sleepy. Nothing too exciting or scary. I don"t read in bed because that makes my wife upset with me, keeping her awake. Good luck!

I was here about then, but my computer threw a tantrum and changed screens on me, tried to get back on and it just sat there and gave me a blank screen.

Wayne FIRST I would really beg you to try and get more SOLID sleep. You body needs at least 5 hrs solid sleep to rebuild. Now I know how being 40 and working wound up like you are seems normal. I can tell you just in a few more years it will kick in and you will want that sleep. Worked 15/18 hrs a day for years but now at 70 I am paying the price. Hwo is work have you got plenty to do? Never have got the 690D JD hoe I spoke with you about out to the road. Do have it starting and moving just a few more issues and I think I am ready to walk it out.
