software development with a huge project underway - 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week.

I can hear my irises slam shut if I step outside into the sunlight.

This semester I teach 5 classes, three of them are based on computer operations. Mold design and CNC for polymers class, Advanced Solid Modeling, and NC machining processes. Plus administrative work and being on the tractor channel, 5 hours min. 7 hrs often. Jim

Usually something over two hours. lots depends on the weather and me being able to get outside. If I had to give up one or the another TV or computer , tv would be gone.

Usually a couple of hours at night when I get in from work. If I need it for work I'll often spend a couple of more looking up parts, suppliers, etc.

Like many others, depends on weather. Most days an hour or so, usually spread out in about 20 min sessions. Can't seem to sit still long enough!

Well being retired and not able to be on my feet long hours or drive or work long hours I spend a lot of time on. I may go out and do something as in cut hay or fix this or that for an hour maybe 2 then be back in front of the computer and hour or 2 then back out again. I do that most every day 7 days a week 365 days a year unless I have o go to the V.A. Hospital etc. One of the first thing I do when I get up is go on line and check e-mails and this site and that takes at least an hour then from there on and off all day

Maybecouple hours off and on during the day at work and the same on this site in the evening. Wonder why I spend all that money on nice tvs and satellite that seldom are used. Oh well it"s there when I want it

Retired now,so the Computer is a lifesaver for me. Would be here more, but like to spend time with wife on TV. I am on here probably 5 hrs per day average.

well i manage a top drive unit on an oil drilling rig and stay in a shack on location and computer is part of the job. tractor stuff passes the time and dont expect to be home till march.

Now that I"m retired I spend way too much time on the computer, especially in the winter when its cold..

On an average, two to three hours a day. I spend more time on this site than anywhere else. After three years, I am just getting the hang of it. When you need to know something, you have the world at your fingertips.

Too many Vito.
Couple of hours in the morning and a couple at night.
I used to read good books - till the internet came.
So much information at our fingertips.
We become walking polymaths and lose the ability to synthesize it all.

not more than 1 unless its bad weather and the western channel has a spaghetti movie on, [ i cant stand that music they used] i usually check email, then here, then im thru unless i broke something

All day. Can't do anything without it- I literally close up shop and go home if computer goes on the fritz.

My job requires me to spend anywhere from 4 to 10, depending on whether I'm on the road or not.

If I can't be on my computer, I don't have a job.

For work, 5 hours a day out of 10.

During that time, I can check YTMAG, Craigslist, and auctions real quick when I have a minute. Then a little time at home looking up similar.

I would guess 1-2 hours of personal time per day.

At work 10 hours a day 5 days a week. I have 7 Computer monitors at my desk and I monitor the Generation of Electricity in the Midwest. At home 1 to 2 hours of surfing depending on the weather.

In the winter about 12-14 hours a day sometimes. Depends on whats going on. If I got stuff to do I don't miss it.

Rick

To many hours but Im trying to break the habit like I did with coffee and smoking. One day in the near future I will no longer be here.

I'm retired and spend maybe 4-6 hours a day on these tractor related chat-rooms in the wintertime, maybe 2-4 hours a day when it's warm out and I can do stuff with my toys. (Antique Tractors and a Threshing machine). I do read some books and magazines too and watch maybe 2 hous of television a day on the average.

(quoted from post at 02:31:08 01/17/13) ALL DAY LONG 4-5 days per week. It's my job.

Same here, Sweet! Then usually an hour or two in the evening a few nights a week on the business of a couple of non-profit associations where I'm on the Board of Directors.
