Pole Barn Shelving

Does anyone have photos of their shelving in their barns/shops? Need to re-do mine. What once was pretty organized has gotten out of hand.
 
What ever you do use I would recomend not making the over 12" wide so stuff don't get lost. There is a guy in my club that built shelves floor to roof like nesting boxes for chickens. He has a ladder on a trolly track to get up.pretty slick set up.
 
I get metal shelves and cabinets in the $2 price range at auctions. I like to have some smaller shelves for smaller items and I have one set of shelves that are 2'x4' that are perfect for cylinder heads and other bigger parts.

The heated/insulated tool room within my shop has used parts bins on one 18 foot wall, floor to 9 foot ceiling. The 24 foot wall has shelves floor to ceiling, made out of 1x10 pine boards...shelves are about a foot apart, divided into 4 foot sections. 1x1 1/2 strips on the front to add strength and keep stuff inside. Have a length of old silo ladder I move to where needed to get to the upper shelves. Another unheated area has shelves floor to 10 foot height, some steel framed for the heavier stuff, other is wood framed. Two 24 foot walls, two 12 foot walls, seven shelves high, each wall. Yeah, mostly full, but easy to find. That part of the shop I have a catwalk on three walls, to get to the upper shelves.
 
The usual wooden shelves along the walls. Best is an old IBM card file cabiinet that I use for bolts, nuts, etc. Built to support about 500# per drawer and lots of space to allow orderly storage. Don't know where I'd ever find another one.

Post-Rack Brackets utilized for pole barns. Weight limit 1000 pounds and will span to 12'.
Eben great to keep your toys, tools, and collectibles dry while still having floor space.
