Ordered a pre catalytic converter thru rock auto made by bosal. Arrived today shipped directly from bosal. Converter was inside a much larger box. No packing material inside at all. Converter was bouncing around inside box. Nearly broke thru box. Dont know how the ceramic inards of the cat didnt break up. Cat itself was poorly made, bad, sloppy welds mounting flange was heat warped. No way it would have sealed. For $350 it expected more. Called rock auto. They were great. Emailed me a shipping label. Full refund upon their receipt of it. This is for the wifes sentra. She has been driving the v10 truck until i get hers fixed. That 10 is thirsty so every day i am delayed means $$$ for extra fuel.

I've seen the Bosal name in catalogs, would have expected better than that. That is however, a big plus for Rock Auto, handling the situation like that. Thanks for the tip.

Glad Rock Auto fixed it right.
I personally will NEVER do biz with them or any
of their affiliates.
I too had a Bosal exhaust issue.
My was I order the front engine/exhaust pipe that has the flex pipe and the inline cat in it.
Ordered part A+, premium load cat, but the same dam warehouse on Long Island in NY 3 times shipped the A
regular cat which by the way costs $50 less.
EVEN after I specified on my order no substitutes
Parts Geek shipped the wrong one.
Finally had to order it thru PartsKing over Amazon.
I agree the finish on the Bosal looked, well, unfinished. But I called and spoke with someone at Bosal. They do not put on those BS heat shields they say only rot off anyway. The redesigned the cats so they no longer need heat shields. Cheaper for them and the consumer, and the product lasts longer.

Have ordered a lot from Rock Auto and have always been happy with them. Believe one time a manufacturer shorted a gasket in a package (not Rock Auto's fault) - they drop shipped me a new gasket and took care of the issue without any hassle.

I agree. Have ordered a lot of stuff thru Rock Auto and never had a problem. Fast, good prices.

I recently bought around $500 worth of stuff from rockauto and have had great results. The tie rod end I bought for my VW had the same markings as the original I replaced after I damaged it. The control arms I could tell were a little different, but the quality still looked good. Reasonable shipping options and I figure I saved around $500-$1000 depending on where I would have gone locally for my parts - Plus labor on top of that.

I got 2 emails with different discount codes. After I could have used them, but I may still order some other stuff and keep the discount emails rolling. Wife's car is gonna be due for an oil change sooner or later anyway...

I've made 4 orders with Rockauto. 3 turned out good and shipped fast. I shipped using Fedex International Priority. 4th order was made today. Used a different (cheaper) shipping method this time so we'll see how it turns out. Even with expensive shipping it still costs 1/3 to 1/2 less than the prices here in Canada.
