Whats the worst senior moment you have had? Here"s mine for today. This morning about 8:30 I decided to start the wife"s expedition,(It had not been driven for going on 3 weeks) and charge the battery. Bottom line I came home a while ago and remembered. It was ok, still had 1/2 tank of gas. The mileage thing-abob, read 6.1. I reset it so the wife won"t suspect. It could have been a lot worse! :) Vic

I put a good squirt of dish washing liquid in the dishwasher. Since I was out of dishwasher soap. Sure does make a lot of suds.

I was in Walmart the other night, just browsing around, placing a few items in my cart as I went. At some point I walked away from the cart to look at something, returned and pushed my cart to checkout. As I started to put my items on the counter I realized it wasn't my cart. I never did remember where I'd left it. I started all over and then couldn't remember what I'd picked up the first time. Fortunately I didn't run into the person whose cart I hijacked.

I did that once and boy does it make suds, I could of scrubbed the floors with all the suds...LOL!
Bad part is they don't stay in the dishwasher either while it's running..

John Have you ever seen the movie Mister Roberts. When Pulver blew up the laundry. That's what my laundry room looked like.

I had two tractors in the barn the loader I needed was in the back so I pull the front one out of the way and take the loader to the other farm, aaupp did'nt go back for a few days poor thing must have idled fo 35 or 40 hours. Black juice down the mufler to a pile on the ground.

Well.

I just remembered, as I read this thread, that I left the grain bin side door open the last 3 days, feeding cattle, will close it today before the rai comes......

Huh. Jut thought of that now. Rain came a few hours ago........

i used to keep my snowplow in one bay and the truck in the other, one morning after it snowed i opened the overhead door where the plow was, walked over, jumped in the truck and backed it through the other door,OMG, chuck

I took the gooseneck trailer to town and back this afternoon. Forgot to latch the ball....usually I forget to raise the jackstands.

I went to my SIL funeral today and I was trying to introduce someone to my wife's aunt and could not remember her name for anything. I can see her house from my front porch, she lives at the end of my lane, her husband dumps their trash in my dumpster. I had to ask her, what the heck is your name!

I was only about 45 when this happened, but I took a rebuilder pickkup I was working on out on the road to see how it drove. About the time I hit 70, it dawned on me the box wasn't bolted down.

I hit the brakes so hard, the box slid into the back of the cab and made a dent I had to fix.

I did that at my daughters place about 10 yrs ago. Grandaughter was about 3 and had a ball wadin around in the suds all over the kitchen!

Well, sounds like several of us have made basically the same mistake. Some years ago, Heck, I was in my late thirties, I had an old '53 Ford that had been parked for about a year. One Sunday afternoon I drug it up into the back yard and tinkered a little and cranked it up. Left it running and went into the house. Wife and I were talking and decided to take the kids for some ice cream. The next morning I got up and looked out the bedroom window. There sat the old Ford, it had idled until it ran out of gas which would have been several hours.

heck i dont think i am that old but it took my 3 years to remember my granddaughters name. its lexi's. see i can remember it now.
still call my wifee a old girlfriends name. hey they both begin with S

I did something similar. We ran out of clothes washing detergent so I used dish washing detergent on a load of old blue jeans. I did think enough not to use hand dish washing detergent because it might foam a lot, so I used liquid automatic dish washer detergent. The bleach in the auto dish washer detergent stripped the color off denim blue jeans in stripes and blotches wherever I first poured it on the clothes.

We had a road tractor,GMC 318 detroit, starter or batteries were weak. Dad told the driver not to shut it off "during the day". That was friday he was the last driver in. Monday morning I was the first one in and it was sitting there running, oil drooling down the stacks. I was scared that the air boxes were full and if i revved it up it would run away it didn't but it sure smoked till it cleaned out.

At my age, 62, I have them once or twice a week. However, .......can't remember any of them.

LOL! Great thread everybody. Husband and I are starting to "go there" too... but nothing memorable.
