2000 Chevy Diesel

An HD-3500 Diesel, 2WD. Got a rusted-out oil pan. Can the pan be removed by lifting the motor, or is it a bigger job than that? I did an oil pan job for a guy with a '97 F-350 Diesel 4WD, and I really don't want another headache like that. Thanks, Fritz

I'm not a chevy diesel guy but I would think it would be just as much of a pain as the ford was. I don't know how much room there is between the motor and the cross member though. Good luck if you do try it!

A true 3500HD from that year should have a solid beam drop style front axle with leaf springs so if it needs to be dropped it shouldn't be too hard.
