I like spirited women! Good for her. One of my early jobs back in the late 70's was working for the company that ground and delivered hamburger to Wendy's. They were Wendy's original supplier out of Columbus, OH.

She looks mean, kinda makes me leery to even go to Wendy's now. I always liked Wendy's too. My grandson drove his first tractor this summer. He's not mean, but he likes JD's so that's the same thing.

Now, Jimmy... that's just naughty to say one's granddaughter is mean as a snake. Though we have a son who is stubborn as a mule. LOL :)

It may serve her well in some instances in life though - so probably ok if she can stand her ground.

Good she is working. It keeps them from getting bored and getting into trouble. Also great experience for after high school and will enable her to hopefully save some money for her future (though stubborn son does not save - spends a good share of money on his Redneck Truck... NOT what we tried to teach him).

Does she have plans to go to college or a trade school? Having an honest job like that is wonderful and the money will come in handy, but it's also a way to encourage them to continue their education after high school. My daughter worked at the local convenience store behind the counter part time during school and full time during the summer. She started when she was an eighth grader and quite about 5 months ago to begin college. Her other co-workers whined and complained all the time, especially when they were always on smoke break or texting and it gave my daughter a good incentive to continue her education. Right before my daughter quit, all the other ladies went to the owner to make sure that whoever they hired was old enough to sell beer and cigarettes because they were tired of getting off their duff from the back room to wait on customers.

It's good to see kids working. Far to many in our area have an attitude about it though cause mom and dad made get a job.
