Does amyone have a formula or Idea of what to use to get scratches out of glass? they are not that deep as you cannot feel them when you run your finger nail over them. any replies would be appreciated

you can polish glass with fine steel wool, takes elbow grease but I have polished out grinding/welding spray damage and made them shine like new glass
 
I agree with Determined, if you are close to a rock shop that does ladidary work maybe they could give you some advice, anything that will polish obsidian should work on glass.
 
Talk to an auto dealer or an auto detailing shop to ask what they use?

Rain-X can temporarily improve a drivers view by partially filling in the smaller pits and scratches in a windshield.
 
Mount St Helens airborne pumace, sure clouded up a lot of windshilds, when the wipers were used. Might be good for either polishing, or ruining the glass.
 
You can use a red rougue that is readily avaliable anywhere they have Dremel tools. Comes in a small round plastic container. Use with Dremel cloth wheel on Dremell standard arbor. Will work like a charm. Tom
 

Flouric acid eats glass and smooths scratches. You need to be careful with it because it is a carcinogin.
