What I did today and saw some stuff

Carried two old clothes washers out to the scrap yard, they paid me $32.00
for the pair, I didn't think that was to bad. What I found interesting is
they had 3 Claas 108 Combines setting there waiting to be scrapped, I was surprised to see that many in one place, especially in our small city. I
also thought they looked a little new to be recycled but I suppose if
someone worked them hard they might be ready for the bone yard, I do wonder
why they didn't become parts donors first, maybe their isn't much demand
for Claas parts, figured they'd be hard to come by. There was quite an
impressive pile of farm equipment and sticking out one side about half way
up was a green & yellow baler. My first thought was "oh a John Deere" but
the more I looked the more I wondered why did someone paint a New Holland
Baler Green & Yellow? I suppose this is Packer Country. Did John Deere make
a baler (small square) with a flywheel in the front like every one else
did?

Yes JD made sold a front flywheel sq baler. The bale chamber was crossways and bale came out side. Do not know model number. Seen one in early 60s around Dewey Ok and was working. The last one is in Merkel Tx area and is scrap or has been scrapped.
