Tractor Tires

Anyone have any experience with Starmaxx or Interco or American Farmer tires? Good, Bad, Junk? I'm talking about bias tractor rears. Thanks for any comments.

I have a pair of 14.9x28 American Farmer tires on a little tractor for occasional use. They are a very rounded carcass- no shoulder. Plus it seems like there are surface blemishes already.
At the same time,(a year ago) I put 18.4x38 AF on a new/used tractor for spraying- no ballast- tires in narrow for row crop work. This was to replace bald, oversized tires which came on the tractor. It rode so hard at all tire pressures, and would vibrate right up throught the cab, that this fall I did what I should have done in the first place- put 16.9x38 Firestone radials on it.
The AF 18.4x38's cost $1500. I sold them for $1000.
The Firestone 16.9x38 radials cost about $2700.

Tires with a Flat tread platform and enough lugs are generally Far superior to anything else..
The Good Year tires (13x28") that came on Dad's WD-45 were far superior to the Firestones (rounded platform) on my Grandad's..

Better floatation and better tread cleaning..

Ron..
