When did they change that?

Yesterday the thermometer read about 10 degrees. They must have changed the scale on the thermometer because I KNOW that twenty years ago the temperatures I experienced yesterday would have been at least five below zero. I just don't remember anything on any news about them changing the farenheit scale.

They installed one of those big lite thermometers in front of the grammer school a few years ago. Big waist of money because it is never correct.
One morning I past it and it is reading 25 deg but none of the water in the ditches is freezing or has any ice by them.
The guy on the radio said it was 31 deg.

Saw a cartoon some years ago, two old timers standing outside a cabin, one was holding a thermometer. He says, "Twenty below one day and zero the next, I wish it would get cold and stay cold!"

Saw a temperature sign by a Walgreen's yesterday morning. The sign said the temp was 53; my car temp said it was 43. Car thermometer is pretty accurate.

I think it's a sliding scale. The older we get the more the scale seems off. We need an age re calibration device for the thermostat so each and every one of us reads the right temp depending on his age. lol

We once had a grouchy milkhauler. one day it was snowy, cold, and windy. but the sun was out and hit the small dial faced thermometer that was on the milkhouse wall. It read 46 degrees. the next day we found the thermometer smashed in a snowbank.

i agree, here its cold enough, but im looking as snow dust, 20 to 30 years ago i would have had trouble seeing over the top of the snow plow windrow

Why let real numbers get in the way of an argument?

The temperatures are run through so many calculations before being recorded, and many weather stations are located so poorly, that recoded numbers are so corrupt that they are pretty much meaningless.

Wonder if I'll go poof for that.
